The greatest asset of an architectural design office is its human resources. As we come up to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the company in 2028, and look beyond that, we want to recruit human resources, both new graduates and mid-career professionals, who share Yamashita Sekkei’s commitment to the creation of a new society through architecture and urban planning/design and who want to be a part of that endeavor. In addition to being an architect and manager, Toshiro Yamashita, the founder of Yamashita Sekkei, was also something of a researcher. In particular Yamashita’s research into the system of construction contracts for building work can be called his lifework; the content of that work exhibited a high level of foresight that has links to modern-day PM (project management) and CM (construction management). Faithful to the vision of its founder, Yamashita Sekkei is engaged on a daily basis in all manner of research and development. Here we will look at some of the results of that R&D.
