YOKOHAMA AIR CABIN is Japan’s first urban circulating ropeway, which opened in “Minatomirai” on April 22, 2021. As a new tourism promotion facility connecting Sakuragi-cho Station and Canal Park Station, it brings new attractions to “Minatomirai”. We designed the ropeway station building. We designed the station building to ensure safety and barrier-free access as a public transportation facility, and to provide a symbolic presence at the gateway to the tourist center of Yokohama City.
