This research facility aims to promote future-creating research. The facility is mainly composed of an integrated research building that has the function of creating ideas and a demonstration research building (design: Toray Construction) that promotes trial manufacture, evaluation, and demonstration of developed products. The fusion research building was required to promote open innovation with academic institutions and companies in Japan and overseas, and to accumulate knowledge by consolidating the activity bases of research organizations that were previously dispersed in the area. We analyze the daily activity patterns of researchers, and the “Communication and Concourse Building” that plays a central role in collaborative research with the external research institute and the “Flexible We wanted to realize a workplace that effectively elicits knowledge-creating behaviors by segmenting the platform building.
